My Little Performance Potato
My Little Performance Potato yet another itsy-bitsy .ini tweak setup for helping trim the fat and usage on the less than stellar graphical options available on release. To give an idea of what kind of gear this is aimed toward, it’s been tested on a laptop with a aging Tesla m6 gpu, and a dated I7-4702 low-voltage cpu, granting a near 40% increase in speed while retaining ultra settings. Card’s are subjective of course, and so are setup’s – but now our elder medieval awesomeware such as GTX cards, Super’s, Maxwell GPU’s, ect. should see strong gains from initial release graphical vanilla options, as well medium gains on fairly recent GPU’s. Give it a try, never doubt a Potato!
Simply download, extract, then migrate to your game folder and copy/install. When prompted to overwrite (how to determine your in the right spot), accept and overwrite. Firing up your game, on the menu selection – select the “Low” preset and load it/back out to menu (unless you’ve downloaded the “Low” settings file, in which case load the vanilla ultra preset). Afterward, select the new installed preset you just chose to download and installed, and it should load correctly.
Sadly, unless you install ALL the preset settings here on the download page, you won’t be able to change any preset settings for one individual setting config. Doing so will revert the individual setting to vanilla values (unless you installed them all), which is the poorly optimized version and will tank your performance/fight your new settings. You can change however, the resolution scale, dynamic resolution, depth of field, upscale method and not hurt the new changes.
