Acculander Thruster Fix – Stroud-Ecklund Landing Gears
Removes the bad duplicate Stroud-Ecklund Landing Gears geometry.
Description
– The vanilla Stroud-Ecklund Acculander Landing Gears has duplicate geometry for the thrusters. This geometry is:
— Too big and sticks out underneath the ship.
— Clips with itself.
— Is 1-side and see through from the outside.
— Isn’t flush and has gaps with the ship hull.
— Has bad UVs.
– This is possibly used for glowing effects during takeoff and landing, but these effects doesn’t appear to be there.
— The extra geometry just has regular metal textures (with bad UVs).
– This mod removes these shapes.
– Affects landing and takeoff model, ship builder model, and landed model.
– There might be an Assorted Mesh Fixes type mod in the future, but tools are limited right now, and this particular issue bothered me a lot.
Installation/Uninstallation/Update
– Use a mod manager such as Mod Organizer 2.
– Whenever. Doesn’t matter.
