AIO Starfield Reborn

This mod is an AIO redefining of the core gameplay mechanics and many small tweaks. I’ll be adding to this as I play and expect updates fairly often and as more options and modding tools become available. Overall this is the Game re-defined in many subtle yet meaningful ways that preserves the vanilla feel of the game while taking away some of its annoyances and stupid design choices.

I figured there were many others out there like me who would want something like this. These are my settings I’m running with and I’m sure these will change over time. Feel free to suggest edits or improvements. If you don’t like something this changes, you’re free to go download other authors tweaks and overwrite this. Just make sure their tweaks are loaded after this one in your StarfieldCustom.ini. Using this as a ‘base’ or foundation and then refining on top of it is fine as the game will utilize last loaded bat file.

General changes this makes:
Enemy AI tweaks: Generally smarter AI that will persist in looking for you longer, while also no unrealistically able to sense exactly where you are. Started with vanilla and looked at a number of other authors work to make this a little more dialed in to my preferences.

Follower AI tweaks: They stay closer but not too close.

Starship camera: Set back for larger ships.

Starship slow time when using power allocation: When allocating power for ship subsystems time slows to allow you to tweak the settings.

Levelling Tweaks: Less Exponential growth for the higher levels. Still feels like you accomplished something when you did get a higher level.

Outpost limits: Increased but not dramatically

Ship Builder tolerance Increased.

And Many more besides. Look through the file and you’ll be able to see All the Original values and commentary.

INSTALLATION:
Put the AIOStarfieldReborn.txt in your My Games/Starfield or the folder where Starfield.exe resides.

If you haven’t already created StarfieldCustom.ini in your My Games/Starfield folder, create it and then put this in that file:

– Go to the following folder:
..\Documents\My Games\Starfield
– If that folder doesn’t contain a file with the name “StarfieldCustom.ini” yet then create it.
– Open “StarfieldCustom.ini” with a text editor of your choice (e.g. Notepad++).
– Add the following part to the file’s content, if it isn’t present already:
[Archive]
bInvalidateOlderFiles=1
sResourceDataDirsFinal=
– IF you’ve already added the above great, but you’ll still to add this line to your StarfieldCustom.ini

“[General]
sStartingCjavascript-event-strippedbat AIOStarfieldReborn”

WARNING: Some of these changes while customizable, are somewhat permanent to your save file so make a backup. You can’t ‘Unlevel’ your character, and as this changes your level progression you can’t go back on that once you have already leveled up, but you could change it back to vanilla for any subsequent levels if so desired.
