Alternate Start – Immediate NGPlus
Start a new game as a Starborn, directly in a NG+ Universe, with full knowledge of everything that could have happened in your original universe! A batch file that will grant you immediately a New Game Plus run upon starting a “New Game”.
How to use: Launch the game from desktop. As you reach the Main Menu, open the console and type bat newgameplus then use the option NEW GAME. <— THIS IS IMPORTANT.
What this does is:
– Turns the Player into a Starborn (NG+1);
– Opens all possible foreknowledge dialogue options;
– Grants all powers at rank 1;
– Sets all star systems as explored.
– Brings the player to level 50, which grants 49 skill points.
There is also an optional file included, that you can activate by typing in the console bat ngequip.
What this will do is:
– Give you the Argos Extractor Jumpsuit, which is sort of the Player’s “default” outfit
– Give Novalight pistol, with 250 ammo, in case you want to delay starting the main quest and start shooting Spacers right away
– Give you the Secret Outpost! slate, that will immediately begin the Mantis quest, in case you want to reach New Atlantis (or any populated area, really) with a regular spaceship and spacesuit.
– Opens showlooksmenu, so that you can set your background and traits.
If you don’t want to get the extra freebies, to correctly set your background and traits just open the console and type slm 14
Some traits do not initialize correctly when chosen through the slm command. To fix them, use the workarounds offered by these mods: Dream Home Trait Enabler; Kid Stuff Trait Enabler; Hero Worshipped NPC Enabler
If you wish to set a greater NG+ level, feel free to edit the “NewGamePlus.txt” file at the linePlayer.setav PlayerUnityTimesEntered 1 to the desired number, and use any of the batch files on the nexus to rank up their powers.
The use of the Ignore Skill Challenge mod is suggested to more freely assign your skill points and set up your current run or previous universe’s backstory, but it is not necessary.
