Gigerism painting posters
Starfield, at the moment, appears to be a very wholesome and stylish sci-fi game. While that’s great in its own right, I also have a liking for the unholy and horror aspects of space. So, I decided to create and replace the paintings inside the lodge and the posters in the shop with grotesque AI art inspired by H.R. Giger. This MOD primarily replaces textures of common paintings and posters, but I’m not entirely sure where else these textures are used in the game. Additionally, in this game, the same painting texture seems to be used in various ways, rotated, flipped, or even just a part of it might be cropped, which might lead to some odd displays in certain cases. The content of this MOD consists only of texture folders and the images within, making it very straightforward.
Installation Instructions:
1)Download the file.
2)Unzip the ZIP file and place the texture files into your game directory (e.g., C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Starfield\Data) or (C:\Users\YourName\Documents\My Games\Starfield\Data).
Note: If you encounter issues during installation, please refer to more detailed articles on MOD installation.
3)Inside (C:\Users\YourName\Documents\My Games\Starfield), create a StarfieldCustom.ini file and add the following lines:[Archive]bInvalidateOlderFiles=1sResourceDataDirsFinal=If you already have this file, there’s no need to do anything.
That’s it.
Since this MOD is quite simple, I don’t anticipate any issues for users who already have other MODs installed.
