To enable these options, go to Settings -> Gameplay Options.You will see a setting called “enable gory effects”. Select either “enter the gorefield”, or “overkill mode”. Enjoy!!

Effect combinations that can be triggered!
– acid melt to bloody skeleton

– bloody flesh melt into pile of “human goo”
– and an old time favorite: Body Splode! *now with extra meaty bits!
NEW IN 1.3When Gorefield is enabled, death effects are seamlessly integrated into all Starfield weapons!!
– Particle weapons can cause disintegration
– lasers and incendiary weapons can cause burning
– poison weapons can cause acid melting
– radiation or annihilator rounds can cause flesh melting
– cryo weapons can cause icy explosions
– gut buster rounds and explosive weapons can cause body explosions
If you’d like to modify your weapon to increase the chance of these effects, you can do so in several ways. There are Legendary mods that fit into Legendary Slot 1 which can be crafted with Caelumite. Additionally, there are consumables crafted at any chem station which can grant effects. The consumables require 2 Contraband items, a Xenowarefare Tech and Harvested Organs. These Consumables will show up as craftable if you have researched enough to be able to craft Amp.
