Jetpacks Reborn

I like flying. You should too. Here are a few cool ways to go about doing that. Change the type by simply loading of the respective bat file (even mid flight) and get vastly different mechanics depending on gravity of the world, and intended uses. If you like to Hover, try the slow burn etc. etc.

Hello my fellow Bethesda modders and moddites. I like flying. You should too. Here are a few cool ways to go about doing that. Simple mod based on other’s work customized once I realized that there is never going to be a ‘perfect’ jetpack setup, and you’re always going to need some Variations and the ability to change the power setting. This is all done through bat’s right now, which can be dang quick tbh and done mid flight. I came up with 3 basic settings that scale power output with fuel consumption. Slow, half, and full burn. Flip from one or the other on the ‘fly’ get it, get it, on the fly har har…. ok ok I’ll stop punning. For now.

With proper modding tools I can see this evolving into something great with hotkeys or other ways of controlling the jetpack (mouse scroll power control anyone? hmmmm sounds awesome to me) and smooth power curves and fuel consumption exponentials rising to those curves and all the nerds and geeks rejoicing at the pure physics of flying.

Change the type by simply loading of the respective bat file (even mid flight) and get vastly different mechanics depending on gravity of the world, and intended uses. If you need to Hover, try the slow burn, if you need ALL the power (with itty bitty fuel time) try the full burn or above if you dare etc. etc.

I’ve included the crazy Man of Steel setting, which has crazy horizontal speed that may break your computer if done indiscriminately. Consider it highly experimental and only for Toons with Capes. You’ve been warned.

Feel free to tweak and consider this open source. I just wanted the community of jetpackers out there to realize they will never get the ‘perfect setup’ with just one setting when you’re dealing with a 1000 worlds or whatever, each with different gravity settings and the only way to get a great jetpack is the ability to change its power output on the fly. This is the best we can do right now….I think, unless you have a better idea in which case get crackin boyo, we need more mods in here asap. For now, Enjoy!
