New Game Plus Variation Picker

The aim of this mod is to take the randomness out of your NG+ experience, which otherwise is often a semi-vanilla experience but rarely can be one of ten alternatives.

The mod consists entirely of a single text file placed directly into your main Starfield folder, edited to your preferences, and run via the console during the credits.

You can access the console on most computers with the ` key, and the correct command is “bat NewGamePlusPicker”

For this to work correctly, you will have to edit the file to specify which variation you prefer. It’s just a simple text file, so this shouldn’t be intimidating at all. Instructions are included in the file, but for the sake of redundancy, here are the three main steps:

1. If you only want the vanilla outcome, change “set 17E727 to 100” to “set 17E727 to 0,” otherwise ignore this line
2. If your character hasn’t entered the Unity before, delete the leading semicolon of “;player.modav PlayerUnityTimesEntered 2”
3. If you want a non-vanilla outcome, delete the leading semicolon of the “;set 1801B9 to #” that matches your desired outcome

From there, you just have to open the console during the credits (it becomes accessible when skipping does, but DO NOT skip first!), enter “bat NewGamePlusPicker” and proceed as you would normally.

I have personally tested each of the ten variations, so if you’re having problems, make absolutely sure you’re following these instructions to the letter. If you do something even slightly different, do not be surprised if it does not work. Support is NOT guaranteed!

This mod was mostly tested in a playthrough that organically reached the Unity, but I’ve also confirmed that it works with quick starting to NG+ via the console command “coc MQUnity,” even after a full-blown quick start via “Set 000a7d31 to 8” in main menu, new game, and “showlooksmenu player” for character creation.
