Player Hand Model FoV

Changes the “Player Hand Model” FoV
*Read Warning for a fix without starting a new game*

Just unpack, and drop the file into C:\Users\yourname\Documents\My Games\starfield(StarfieldCustom.ini)

or copy if you are overwriting lines I don’t have.

[Camera]
fFPPlayerFOV=100

Warning
From what I’m seeing, once you change this, you cannot change the FoV again and you will have to make a playthrough just to change it back.

Your FoV may permanently stay at what value you made that’s under the recommended 100 with the save you used. I’m not sure if this will fix the FoV but “always make sure” you backup your save “BEFORE” changing the view model or messing with any code values in a game.

Nevermind false alarm. There’s a fix for it, someone mentioned it in the post tab. Try changing the value of both World FoV and Player FoV. You don’t need to start a new game. “You have to talk to an NPC to fix or see changes.” The world FoV needs to be the same as the Player FoV, in order to change what you did again. You can’t just change the Player/view model FoV and leave the world FoV at the same value. Both have to be valued at 100, 120, 75, etc.
The Hand View Model still seems to max out at 100.

e.g.
[Camera]
fFPWorldFOV=85.0000
fTPWorldFOV=100
fFPPlayerFOV=85

Last edit:
Yes, it looks like the View model FoV is somewhat tied to your world FoV. The View model FoV cannot be higher than the world FoV….Until some fixes that.
