RX 580-590 Optimization
This mod is based on lowEgg’s remove shadows and GTAO mod, but only changes the four lines of the Low.ini file pertaining to crashes on 580/590 cards. It should “hopefully” minimize crashing in cities without sacrificing as much visual fidelity. TLDR: I fiddled around with a notepad file until my crashing stopped and want to upload it for others.
Installation:
1. Extract low.ini to your game’s data directory
2. When in the start menu, go to “Display Settings” swap graphics to low (if it’s already on low swap it to the medium preset then back to low again”)
3. From the low preset, change any of the settings you want EXCEPT Shadow Quality AND Contact Shadows. These two settings must remain on low to prevent crashing.
