Starborn Space Suit Customization
Once of the many things I wanted to do when I started seeing the different Starborn suit variants was change which one I got to use. I mean, surely if the Emissary can keep using the Gravitas suit after innumerable universes, there’s nothing really stopping the player either, right?
With xEdit’s 4.1.4v release, the possibility for this was revealed with the OMOD option of setting the Layered Material Swap, which gives the suits the different textures. WIth this mod installed, you now only need to approach a workbench and you can setup your suit with whatever colouration you like.
The mod comes in two flavours, the full version and the lite version:
Full:
– Change any Starborn suit* to look completely like another by changing the armor addons, as well as some extra variations with added or removed cloaks
– Change the Boostpack from Balanced to any of the other options, provided you’ve unlocked the ability to do so
– Possibly compatible with mods that change the models or textures of the Starborn suits
– Incompatible with my other mod Starborn Space Suit Visor FX
Lite:
– Change some Starborn suits to have the skin colours of the other suits**
– Does not modify any vanilla records, making it far more compatible with any other mods
– Fully compatible with Starborn Space Suit Visor FX
* The Starborn Spacesuit Astra can only be given skins and it doesn’t have its own proper skin, the full version substitutes in the Materia skin.
** Not all skins will show up on all suits. The full version fixes this problem at the cost of making it incompatible with the Visor FX mod.
An additional note with the full version is that any existing Starborn suits in your game may show up looking a bit different, but not to worry, you just need to visit a spacesuit workbench to set it however you like. Suits spawned in or created after installing the mod won’t have this issue.

Recommended to use Plugins.txt enabler
To install place the extracted files from the downloaded 7z file (the ESM and Scripts folder) inside of your Starfield\Data
folder and append your AppData\Local\Starfield\Plugins.txt file to include either version (do not use both, they will conflict):
*StarbornSuitCustomizationFull.esm
*StarbornSuitCustomizationLite.esm
Or use your mod manager of choice to handle installation.
