Lead Quest Designer Will Shen referred to Cydonia as a “city” in an interview, describing it as “one of the early settlements humanity created after they left Earth”. He added that “it’s a whole city with its own problems and people to meet”. Cydonia is part of the early main quest, during which you’ll be sent there by Constellation to uncover prior details on Earth. As one of the first bases established by humanity, it’s a brutally functional location, primarily built underground to escape Mars’ harsh climate.
