Neon’s origin traces back to a fishing platform constructed by the Xenofresh Corporation in the ocean of an otherwise unremarkable aquatic world. Upon discovering a fish species with psychotropic properties, Xenofresh transformed the substance into a drug called Aurora—exclusively legal on Neon. Consequently, the platform evolved into a dazzling “pleasure city,” seemingly a fusion of Las Vegas and Cyberpunk’s Night City.
Ryujin Industries, one of the game’s most prominent factions, has established its headquarters here, even though the platform was initially built by a different megacorporation. Could it be that Ryujin has since acquired Xenofresh? Time will reveal the answer.
