Starfield System Requirements
Ensuring your gaming PC meets the Starfield system requirements is crucial for achieving fluid framerates and uncompromised visuals. If you’re simply aiming for acceptable gameplay performance, the minimum requirements should suffice, providing enough power to maintain a smooth experience, albeit with some graphic settings reduced.
Regrettably, the official Starfield PC requirements have not yet been released. However, rest assured that this page will be promptly updated once Bethesda makes them available.

Taking into account the relatively modest recommended specifications for Fallout 76, Bethesda Game Studios’ latest release, our estimates are fairly lenient. It’s worth noting that Bethesda has had a turbulent past with its PC releases, so encountering issues even on a high-end PC is not uncommon. However, rest assured that such problems would not be your responsibility to resolve.
Starfield Size
The download size for Starfield is expected to be substantial. With over 1,000 planets to discover, the sheer volume of locations in Starfield promises to be astronomical, consequently requiring more hard drive space.
For reference, Fallout 4 (released in 2015) necessitates 30GB of storage for installation, excluding the official high-resolution texture pack, which demands an additional 58GB.
Considering this, it would be surprising if Starfield’s download size were under 70GB, and it’s more probable to approach the 100GB threshold.
After clearing some hard drive space, be sure to familiarize yourself with the Starfield companions, factions, and weapons unveiled thus far, ensuring you’re well-prepared for this expansive RPG adventure.
